About

Redefining Movement, Performance, and Recovery in Africa.

The Ilaji Movement and Running School (IMRS) was founded to redefine how Africans move, perform, and recover. Unlike traditional sports programs, IMRS combines movement science, performance training, and rehabilitation into one system. From the grassroots level, we teach proper movement and running mechanics while building speed, agility, strength, and resilience.

Our mission is to help children, athletes, and communities unlock their full potential—whether in sports, education, or everyday life. By blending science-based training with Africa’s natural talent, we not only prepare world-class athletes but also promote lifelong wellness and recovery. IMRS is shaping a healthier, stronger, and more competitive generation for Africa and the world.*

The Problem We Solve

For too long, African talent has been held back by a critical disconnect. Traditional coaching often pushes athletes to their limits without the scientific foundation to prevent injury. Rehabilitation focuses on recovery alone, not on returning to peak performance. This gap leaves potential unfulfilled and careers cut short. We bridge that gap.

Vision Statement

To be Africa’s leading hub for world-class athletic performance and rehabilitation, producing champions, enhancing recovery, and setting new global standards for movement and sports excellence

Mission Statement

To empower children, athletes, and teams with world-class movement training, performance coaching, and rehabilitation, helping athletes excel in their sports, restore mobility after injuries or conditions such as arthritis and stroke; and also inspire confidence in individuals with chronic conditions to start living quality life through rehabilitative care that will engender accelerated recovery and pain-free movement - all driven by innovation and excellence.
